Diseases
Among the diseases we treat are the following:
- Parkinson’s
- Choreiform movements
- Atypical Parkinson’s
- Involuntary movements of psychogenic origin
- Dystonia
- Myoclonus
- Tremors
- Alzheimer’s
- Tics
- etc.
For a person to suffer from Parkinson's disease, according to the criteria of the Brain Bank of the Queen Square Hospital in London, he/she must have at least two of the following symptoms: resting tremor, rigidity and slowness. There should also be an improvement of at least 50% of the symptoms after taking l-dopa and no atypical signs should exist (dementia, dysautonomic disorders, parkinsonizing agents, etc.).
Dystonia is a condition characterized by involuntary posturing and sustained muscle contractions.
Tremors are not a disease. It is a clinical sign whose form of appearance depends on the accompanying disease (multiple sclerosis, essential tremor, brain trauma or Parkinson's).
